What is DermaMedics’ Foaming Cleanser?

This pH-balanced cleanser has been specifically formulated for acne-prone skin. To eliminate irritation and dryness, this cleanser contains NO soap and NO Lauryl or Laureth Sulfates. These detergents are commonly found in cleansers, but are well known to dry and irritate the skin. Complexion Repair Foaming Cleanser is formulated with two gentle surfactants that clean deeply and thoroughly, but without drying or irritating the skin that is already irritated from acne. This cleanser also contains Therosol®, a proprietary and patent-pending ingredient, to help calm the skin and reduce the appearance of redness. In addition, the cleanser contains Salicylic Acid, an exfoliator, and Triclosan, a well known anti-bacterial and preservative ingredient. Foaming Cleanser is so gentle that it is recommended for all skin types, even those suffering from problem skin conditions such as very dry skin, rosacea, eczema, and acne.

 

How do I use the Foaming Cleanser?

For best results, wet your face with warm water and apply 4-5 pumps of the Foaming  Cleanser onto hands to produce a rich lather. Gently spread the foam to completely cover the face and wait one minute before washing the cleanser off. Rinse off with warm water. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel. The cleanser should be used twice a day to clean and refresh skin. Foaming Cleanser may also be used as a body wash.

 

Are there any concerns I should know about regarding the use of Foaming Cleanser?

There are no known concerns regarding the use of this product. The product does contain a very small amount of fragrance. If you are allergic to fragrances you should test a small area of your skin with the cleanser to check for any reaction. As with any skin care product, you should avoid getting the cleanser in your eyes. If irritation develops, discontinue use.

Decyl Glucoside, Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate

These gentle surfactants effectively remove oils, makeup and dirt without damaging the skin’s protective barrier.

Glycerin

This excellent humectant absorbs and retains moisture in the skin. It is extremely mild when applied topically, and can be used at high concentrations.

PEG 2M

PEG 2M is a foam booster that is commonly used in shaving creams to produce a rich lather.

Therosol®

Therosol® is a proprietary and patent-pending botanically derived ingredient discovered by DermaMedics’ scientists. Laboratory research studies on cultured human skin cells have shown that Therosol® can block the production of inflammatory hormones in a variety of skin and immune cells that cause vasodilation, irritation and skin damage. In this cleanser, it helps to calm the skin and reduce the appearance of redness.

Triclosan

An excellent anti-bacterial ingredient and preservative, Triclosan, is commonly used in a variety of hand-soaps to reduce bacterial contamination. Triclosan has been shown to kill 99% of various common bacteria in 60 seconds.
