What is DermaMedics’ Pore Refining Toner?

The Complexion Repair Pore Refining Toner is designed to pull excess oils from pores, and to soothe and revitalize the skin. The toner does contain alcohol and is therefore not recommended for extremely dry skin. Witch hazel and Therosol provide antioxidants to the skin to help prevent the appearance of redness. The toner should be used after cleansing and before applying the Acne Treatment Serum or Rehydrating Emulsion. The toner contains salicylic acid, Therosol, and Witch Hazel, a known anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and astringent.

 

How do I use the Pore Refining Toner?

After cleansing face with Complexion Repair Foaming  Cleanser, apply Pore Refining Toner to a cotton ball and wipe gently over face to remove dirt, oil and grease. May be used twice a day to keep face clean. Allow the product to fully dry and/or evaporate before applying either the Acne Treatment Serum or the Rehydrating Emulsion.

 

Are there any concerns I should know about regarding the use of Pore Refining Toner?

There are no known concerns regarding the use of this product. As with any skin care product, you should avoid getting the toner in your eyes. If irritation develops, discontinue use.

Glycerin

This excellent humectant absorbs and retains moisture in the skin. It is extremely mild when applied topically, and can be used at high concentrations.

Therosol®

Therosol® is a proprietary and patent-pending botanically derived ingredient discovered by DermaMedics’ scientists. Laboratory research studies on cultured human skin cells have shown that Therosol® can block the production of inflammatory hormones in a variety of skin and immune cells that cause vasodilation, irritation and skin damage. In this cleanser, it helps to calm the skin and reduce the appearance of redness.

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid is a gentle “beta-hydroxyl” acid that helps exfoliate the skin. It boosts cell turnover which brings the existing melanin to the skin’s surface where it can be discarded.
