What is DermaMedics’ Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream?

The Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream is a lightly moisturizing formulation that contains a higher concentration of Therosol® than is found in the Baby's Relief Calming Serum. It will, therefore, provide enhanced calming for red, rough skin damaged by severe eczema, rashes or other forms of dermatitis. It will also re-moisturize severely damaged skin to reduce visible redness. Calm & Repair Cream is non-irritating and non-sensitizing and can be used as often as needed to soothe damaged skin. Because it is a strong formulation, Calm & Repair Cream may sting for a minute if applied to abraded skin. This temporary discomfort can be eliminated by first applying Baby's Relief Calming Serum and allowing it to absorb completely before treating the skin with Calm & Repair Cream.

 

How do I use Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream?

After cleansing skin with DermaMedics’ Baby's Relief Foaming Body Wash, apply evenly and liberally to all affected areas of the skin. Because of its calming and moisturizing properties as well as its ability to absorb quickly, Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream can be applied as frequently as necessary to affected skin. For best results, it should be used at least twice daily until the skin has returned to normal. This product may sting for a minute if applied to abraded skin. This temporary discomfort can be eliminated by first applying Baby's Relief Calming Serum and allowing it to absorb completely before treating the skin with Calm & Repair Cream.

 

Are there any concerns regarding the use of Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream?

There are no known concerns regarding the use of this product. However, as with any skin care product, you should avoid getting the Baby's Relief Calm & Repair Cream in the eyes, and if irritation develops discontinue use.

Glycerin

This excellent humectant absorbs and retains moisture in the skin. It is extremely mild when applied topically, and can be used at high concentrations.

Therosol®

Therosol® is a proprietary and patent-pending ingredient discovered by DermaMedics’ scientists. Research studies have shown that Therosol® can increase collagen and elastin production in human skin cells. It has also been found to have potent anti-inflammatory effects on skin cells, blocking the production of a variety of inflammatory hormones that can inflame skin and erode the skin’s structural matrix.

Cetyl Palmitate

This emollient also acts as a skin conditioner, helping to restore weathered and damaged skin to its natural state.

PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate and PEG-100 Stearate

These non-irritating emulsifiers allow the oil and water phases of the lotion to mix evenly and form a stable emulsion. They are also emollients and moisturizers.

Stearic Acid

This naturally occurring 18 carbon fatty acid is found in vegetable oils. It is widely used in many cosmetic products as an emollient, emulsifier and lubricant. Because of its gentleness to the skin, it is used at concentrations up to 25%.
