Clear Reflection Complexion™ Acne Treatment System has been designed to treat mild to severe acne, and is therefore a very strong product. Because of this, the procedure for using the products varies depending on the severity of acne.
VERY IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU START USING THIS PRODUCT YOU WILL VERY LIKELY SEE THAT YOUR COMPLEXION MAY LOOK WORSE FOR THE FIRST 4 DAYS. THIS IS DUE TO THE PRODUCT’S ABILITY TO PENETRATE DEEP INTO THE SKIN TO “PURGE” BLOCKED PORES AND SUBSURFACE PIMPLES. HOWEVER, AFTER A WEEK OF USE, YOU WILL NOTICE A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN YOUR COMPLEXION.
DAYS 1-3: SKIN CONDITIONING: In the morning wash face with Clear Reflection Complexion™ Foaming Cleanser. Cover face completely with the foam and leave on skin for 15-20 seconds before washing off. DO NOT SCRUB YOUR FACE. After washing, apply a thin layer of Clear Reflection Complexion™ Acne Treatment Serum to all affected areas of the face. Allow Serum to penetrate into the skin BEFORE applying makeup. DO NOT use oil-based makeup, which can clog pores and cause blemishes. Use powder based makeup. In the evening before bedtime, wash face with Clear Reflection Complexion™ Foaming Cleanser. Leave cleanser on face for 15-20 seconds before rinsing off. DO NOT SCRUB YOUR FACE.
FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS OF TREATMENT — After cleansing face in the evening, apply a non-salicylic acid moisturizing lotion to help keep the skin moisturized. Because salicylic acid can be drying, until your skin is conditioned to it, a moisturizing lotion should be used instead of the Topical Rehydrating Lotion. DermaMedics recommends Facial Moisturizing Treatment be used for the first 3 days. Once the moisturizing lotion is applied to the face, the Clear Reflection Complexion™ Acne Treatment Serum can be applied as a spot treatment to blemishes.
NOTE: The Acne Treatment Serum and Topical Rehydrating Emulsion are strong products and may tingle or sting when first applied. This sensation will go away after a couple of minutes.
CONTINUED USE AFTER DAY 3: In the morning wash face with Clear Reflection Complexion™ Foaming Cleanser. Avoid the use of oil-based makeup, which can clog pores and cause blemishes. Use powder based makeup. In the evening before bedtime, wash face with Clear Reflection Complexion™ Foaming Cleanser. Leave cleanser on skin for 15-20 seconds before rinsing off. DO NOT SCRUB YOUR FACE.
Three times a week, and more if you have very oily skin, saturate a cotton ball with Clear Reflection Complexion™ Acne Toner and apply to affected areas. Because of the alcohol in this product, temporary stinging and dryness may result. After letting the Acne Toner evaporate from the skin, apply the Clear Reflection Complexion™ Topical Rehydrating Emulsion to affected areas. If, at any time, you feel your face getting too dry, substitute a moisturizing lotion (DermaMedics Facial Moisturizing Treatment or equivalent) for the Clear Reflections Topical Rehydrating Emulsion every other day. Pillow cases should be changed at least three times during the week (and, if possible, every night), to ensure that the face is kept clean.
Since each person’s skin is different, and the severity of acne varies among acne sufferers, you may want to modify the above instructions to obtain the best results. For example, if you have extremely oily skin, you may want to use the Pore Refining Toner every evening. Also, if you feel that you are obtaining better results with the Topical Rehydrating Emulsion than with the serum, then this product can be used morning and evening. The one product that should always be used as directed is the Foaming Cleanser.
