Do I need a doctor to purchase Dermamedics?

You do not need to purchase DermaMedics from a physician. All of our products can be purchased here on our DermaMedics website. Since not all medical offices carry our full line of products, we recommend contacting the location ahead of time to inquire about product availability.

What standards are followed in the formulation of Dermamedics products?

All DermaMedics products are manufactured with the finest quality ingredients, using the most demanding manufacturing procedures. We take great care to ensure that the products will be compatible with even the most sensitive skin. For this reason we never use plant extracts in our products since these crude extracts may contain hundreds of unidentified chemical compounds that may cause skin irritation. To ensure the optimal performance of our products, we only use bioactive ingredients that have been scientifically proven to have specific benefits for the skin. In addition, we use an optimal amount of each bioactive ingredient in each formulation to maximize both skin delivery and benefits for a given skin condition. We never “angel dust” our products. That is we never add a tiny amount of a beneficial ingredient just to save some money.

Why use Dermamedics over other medical skincare products?

All DermaMedics products contain patented compounds that have unique biological activities beneficial to dermatology applications. Clinical studies have proven the effectiveness of these patented compounds. No other skin care company has access to this technology. This technology was discovered at a major university medical school in the laboratory of the company’s founder. His research in the field of skin biochemistry focused on identifying natural anti-inflammatory and anti-aging compounds for use on the skin. This research led to the discovery of a group of potent antioxidants that are now found in every DermaMedics product. In addition, all DermaMedics formulations are designed to be extremely gentle and non-irritating regardless of how damaged the skin may be.

Do you have a product guarantee?

DermaMedics does have a product guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with our product you can simply return the product(s) with no questions asked within 30 days of purchase as long as there is at least 50% of the product remaining in the packaging.

Who is Bryan Fuller?

Dr Fuller is the founder of DermaMedics. He formed the company to commercialize discoveries he made while a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at a major medical school. His research for over 30 years has focused on skin biochemistry with research emphasis in two areas: understanding how human skin pigmentation is regulated in the skin, and understanding the skin inflammation process with the goal of identifying natural compounds that had potent anti-inflammatory activity. He served as a professor on the faculty for 21 years, before leaving to devote his full time to DermaMedics.

Why don't you have a sunscreen?

We are working on a sunscreen lotion now, but because we
are very concerned about the type of sunscreen to use, it is taking us some
time to come up with the correct formulation. The best and safest sunscreen is,
of course, zinc oxide. But as you know, these formulations turn white on the
skin and customers don't like that. There are some micronized/nano zinc oxide
products that don't turn as white, but because of the extremely small size of
the nano zinc oxide particle, we are concerned that some of this may move
across the surface barrier and get into the bloodstream.  Chemical sunscreens don't turn white and for
this reason they are popular. But while some of the chemical sunscreens are
safe and effective others have some safety concerns. In addition, the
concentration of sunscreen to be used is an issue. The higher the SPF, the more
likely that the sunscreen will move into the skin and get into the blood.
Finally, all chemical sunscreens break down in the sun and the breakdown products may or may not be safe, depending on the chemical makeup of the
sunscreen. So we are taking our time in designing the best
and safest sunscreen to use in our products.
